What is a home buyer report?
A home buyer’s report is a survey produced in a standard format provided by the RICS. It is designed as a value for money package with potential purchasers in mind.
It is intended for more modern properties (post 1940’s) that are conventional in type and construction and apparently in reasonable condition.
It is intended for properties that are conventional in type and construction and apparently in reasonable condition.
The report will look at the construction and condition of both the exterior and interior of the property. It includes a market valuation and insurance re-build costs.
Our friendly and reliable surveyors will help you to spot any defects that may affect the value of the property with repairs, and ongoing maintenance advice.
Finally, the report includes details of defects which are significant and urgent, advice on other considerations such as safety, the location and the environment which may affect your decision to purchase.
This will give you the reassurance you need to pursue your purchase.
It excludes cost estimates for repairs but this service can be included for an additional cost of £100. If you are planning major alterations or renovations it would be better to choose a building survey.
